Returns & Exchanges

We will exchange or credit full-price items that are returned to us within 10 days of being received by you.


Please advise us upon receipt of your purchase if you wish to make an exchange or return before you send anything back - this is best done via email to

All returns must be sent back with tracking and your printable purchase receipt within 10 days of receiving your order. For all returns (excluding faulty items) you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to The Other Half Design. All extra postage costs incurred in an exchange are payable by you and the return of the new item is subject to us receiving the extra postage costs incurred. The new item will be sent once the returned item is received.

All returned items must be in original condition, including all tags and packaging. We have the right to refuse returns on items that do not meet these requirements. Until your return has been received at The Other Half Design we will not be held responsible for any loss of packages, tears and damages to your return parcel. 

Our returns policy is valid 10 days from our return email to you. Unfortunately, after the stated 10 days we cannot offer you a credit or exchange.

Returns and exchanges received outside the above timeframe will not be accepted. Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are not refunded for shipments outside New Zealand. Shipping charges from the original order are non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept returns on skincare items.


We do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges on any sale items. This excludes any faulty or damaged items, in which case we will endeavour to replace the item, otherwise a refund or store credit is applicable.


If an item you receive is faulty please email us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will assess the product. This can take up to five working days from the date the item is received by our team. If the item is faulty, we will either repair or replace the item, depending on the circumstances; if a repair or replacement is not available, then we will happily provide you with a full refund.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the items you purchase from us are required to be of acceptable quality

Returns of faulty items will only be accepted if the goods were faulty on arrival. We are not responsible for any fault or damage that may have arisen due to you having used the item in a way, or to an extent, that does not qualify as reasonable consumer use – this includes a failure to follow care instructions. If we find that the fault has arisen due to your use or care of the item, we are not responsible for your costs of returning the item to us to be assessed, or sending the item back to you and will not accept the item as faulty.

If an item is faulty we may need to send it back to the supplier for inspection. Where required the item will be repaired, replaced or refunded at the sole discretion of the supplier. We cannot be held accountable for this timeline but will update you along the way.

Your credit or exchange will be actioned within 5 working days after receiving your return email. Refunds will be made to your original method of payment.

All pricing is automatically listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and inclusive of 15% GST. Prices may be subject to variation without notice. We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our items are correct at the time of publication. However, we cannot warrant that the content on the site has no errors or inaccuracies. Also, bear in mind that some computers and devices may display colours a little differently. If you purchase something and find it’s not as to be described or pictured please email us.


We always do our very best to ensure our stock inventory is accurate. However, on occasion there may be an error. If so, you will be contacted and provided a refund.
